Received a Donation

I got a rug from a donation. I chose the style so we can talk about it for Science and for Social Studies. In Social Studies I had my students learn the continents through singing a song,
 "I Got the Whole World in My Hands". (sing this line 4 times, then...)
-"I got North and South America in my hands"
-"I got Europe, Asia, Africa in my hands"
-"I got Australia, Antartica in my hands"
-"I got the whole world in my hands"

In Science what are the essential things that animals need to live (the symbols on the rug)
We even talked Math and what the symbols on the rug stand for.
